At Real Good Rescue, we believe adoption is about more than saving a life — it’s about creating a lifelong match built on trust, transparency, and care. Every adoption begins with a thorough application to help us understand your lifestyle, preferences, and experience. Approved applicants meet virtually with our team, followed by a home check to ensure the environment is safe and suited for the dog’s needs. Once approved, we arrange meet-and-greets so everyone feels confident and comfortable. Before finalizing any adoption, every dog enters a mandatory trial period — a minimum of one week and up to a month, depending on the dog and their integration process with other animals in the home. This time allows everyone to settle in and ensure it’s truly the right fit. Our commitment doesn’t end there — we ask every adopter to share updates at three, six, and twelve months so we can celebrate milestones and support lasting success.
