Our Team

  • Terah Gisolo Founder & Executive Director, Real Good Rescue

Raised in West Texas and now based in Los Angeles, Terah has always had a deep connection to dogs. Over two decades ago, she was introduced to the world of dog rescue, igniting a lifelong passion. Since then, Terah has fostered over 100 dogs and volunteered with rescue groups across Texas, New York, Georgia, and California.

Her journey led her to found Real Good Rescue, an organization built on responsible rescue practices, transparency, and community engagement. As Executive Director, Terah leads with vision and heart—managing everything from financial operations to strategic development, ensuring the organization runs smoothly.

Terah is also the Creative Director, having built and expanded the Real Good brand. She wears many hats, bringing creativity, structure, and heart to every aspect of Real Good’s work.

Her hands-on approach extends to overseeing relationships with City and County shelters, ensuring accurate data management, and fostering collaborations with veterinary hospitals to provide critical care. She also leads fundraising strategies and budgeting to sustain Real Good’s life-saving mission.

At the heart of everything Real Good does is Terah’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of dogs. Whether through responsible rescue, community support, or innovative outreach, each initiative reflects her passion for making a real impact.

  • Kelly Wilson Foster & Adoption Coordinator

Raised in the wild heart of Northern California, Kelly's home became a sanctuary for every stray cat and dog that wandered by. The Wilson residence was a beacon of hope for lost souls, always open to welcoming a furry friend.

In 2006, her journey into the world of rescue truly began when she co-owned a Rhodesian Ridgeback. But it was 13 years ago that everything changed—when she laid eyes on her soul dog, Milo. From that moment, she knew he was meant to be hers.

Lucky for her, Milo came fully trained, but it sparked a fire within Kelly. She recognized a pressing need for fostering and training animals in distress and became determined to give them a second chance. By 2017, she had stepped up as a volunteer and board member at a different Los Angeles dog rescue, where she uncovered the deeper challenges facing these animals and the organizations that strive to help them.

After a brief stint volunteering with Terah, Kelly found her true calling at Real Good Rescue, where honesty, integrity, and prioritizing the welfare of animals are fundamental. Here, she’s not just making a difference; she’s addressing systemic issues in animal rescue, driving change where it matters most.

  • Susan Bridges Grant Writer

Susan is a lover of all animals, but after getting her first dog at age 10, she has a special place in her heart for all of the dogs. When she’s not volunteering as a grant writer at Real Good Rescue, she’s working as an IT project manager and also as a professional writer of TTRPGs, animation, and comics. Most recently she co-wrote and co-directed a short film that’s currently on the festival circuit.

Susan sees grant writing as a natural extension of her skills, as it combines detailed record-keeping and technical expertise with persuasive and creative writing . As an avid Pokemon Go player, Susan spends several hours per week traversing the neighborhood on foot, and as a result she has gotten to know many local dogs during her explorations.

Sometimes she even gets to pet some of them.

  • Crystal Fields Grant Writer

Crystal is a lifelong dog lover and proud pet parent to her rescue red heeler, Bohdi, who has become a cherished part of her family and fills their days with joy and companionship. Knowing how different and potentially tragic his life could have been without a second chance fuels her dedication to supporting Real Good Rescue and their life-saving mission.

By training, Crystal is an occupational therapist and learning specialist. When she’s not contributing at Real Good Rescue, she works at a nonprofit helping children with disabilities and struggling readers build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

After being given the opportunity to publish an opinion piece on occupational justice, Crystal rediscovered her passion for writing—a drive she now combines with her commitment to meaningful nonprofit service. She is grateful for the chance to bring her unique blend of experience and perspective to help secure funding that gives more dogs the second chances they deserve.

  • Trinity Woolman Content Creator

Trinity grew up in the Bay Area of Northern California, where her love for dogs was sparked by spending time at her cousins’ house. A home to a pack of five (or more) pups at any given time. Even without a dog of her own, she quickly became the go-to dog sitter and always found herself happiest around wagging tails and wet noses.

With a background in media and a passion for storytelling, Trinity found her way into the world of dog rescue through social media. At Real Good Rescue, she helps each adoptable dog shine online by sharing their personalities, stories, and second chances with a wider audience.

She’s currently living in Tennessee, preparing to start fostering and is excited to support rescue dogs both online and in real life. For Trinity, this work is about more than just cute posts. It’s about connection, compassion, and making sure every dog gets their second chance

  • Dan Lavalette Community Manager

Dan is a lifelong dog lover, digital communicator, and full-time softie for a good rescue story. As Real Good Rescue’s Community Manager, he’s the one behind the Stories, DMs, replies, and the community conversations that keep everything genuine, full of heart, and Real Good. His rescue journey started with his grandmother Helena, who filled his childhood with stories about the strays she saved and the lives she changed.

Those stories stayed with him. And in a household where his Italian family made love a full-contact sport, with voices raised, loyalties deep, and always a seat for one more, compassion became second nature. When Dan got his first dog, Buddy, at 10 years old, something clicked. The love was immediate, and the lesson was clear. Dogs change lives, and every single one deserves the chance to find their person or family. At Real Good, Dan brings a voice that is thoughtful, grounded, and rooted in the mission.

With a background in social media, PR, and community engagement, he helps make sure the humans feel just as supported, seen, and valued as the dogs they are here to help.
