Finding the Best New Home for Your Dog

We get it. Life throws curveballs, and sometimes that means your pup needs a fresh start. That's where The Real Good Reset comes in. It's our no-judgment, all-heart rehoming program built to make the transition smoother for both you and your dog.

One important thing to know: Real Good Rescue is a foster based organization, which means we don't have a facility to take dogs into. To participate in The Real Good Reset, you'll need to be able to keep your dog in your home throughout the rehoming process. If you're in a crisis situation and need to surrender your dog immediately, please reach out to us directly and we'll do our best to point you toward the right resources.

You're not giving up. You're giving them a second chance, and we're here to make damn sure it's a REAL good one. We don't do guilt trips or sugarcoating. Just real support, real compassion, and a promise to treat your dog like family while we help them find their next forever home. You've done right by them. Now let us take it from here.

Steps to Rehome

Rehoming Process

  • Start by filling out our Real Good Reset application form. This helps us understand your dog’s needs and personality, so we can find the best match.

  • Once you’ve completed your application, submit veterinary records, recent photos, and a detailed bio of your dog. The more we know, the better we can match them with the right home.

  • If you’re comfortable, your dog can join us at adoption events to meet potential adopters in person.

  • We’ll work with you to review applications, giving you a say in who might be the best fit for your dog.

  • Once a suitable home is found, we’ll guide you through the adoption agreement, ensuring a seamless transition.
